My apologies for the long silence. Over the past three years in NYC, I have been exploring some different outlets for my writing and activism. I’m back now with two exciting updates:
1) My recent essay “Loving While White” won honorable mention in the International Human Rights Art Festival Creators of Justice awards and is published on their website. The piece reflects on my journey examining my whiteness and the its impact on my relationship with my partner. This is the first time my racial equity writing has been published, so it is very close to my heart. I hope you enjoy it.
2) This fall my partner and I are embarking on a two-month work-from-the-road trip. In the era of COVID-19, the 2020 elections, and the greatest mass mobilization for racial equity since the Civil Rights Movement, I am certain I will have plenty of opportunities to explore the intersections of travel and social justice. All that’s to say – you can expect me back in your inboxes in the coming weeks, this time from campgrounds across the U.S.A.
